35th “Forever Young” gathering for the graduates of MUHS Class of 1989. Following, we will be joining the All Class Reunion at Memorial Sports Center. Greetings members of the MUHS Class of 1989!! It may seem hard to believe, but it has been THIRTY-FIVE years since we graduated (escaped) from Middlebury Union High School! Much has happened since we haunted those hallways… we now see people talking to themselves with things in their ears, or waving their hands around in weird gestures while wearing oversized goggles tethered to a small box- reminds me of my parents first Video Cassette Recorder with the tethered remote control… but I digress… I, along with the rest of your class officers, we want to once again, invite you to reconvene in the bucolic foothills of the Green Mountain state to celebrate life and fellowship! All of the information I am sharing below is also posted on our private Facebook group page and will be sent out via a blind copied email to all class members that have provided their personal email addresses (see Most Wanted list below!). This is the seventh gathering we have embarked on since graduating and I cannot begin to thank the MANY folks that have assisted over the years. It takes a village to make this work and I, for one, am glad to be part of your village! As you know, this year we decided to have our gathering coincide with the All Class Celebration (purchase tickets here). This is the second such gathering of the All Class Reunion and we believe it will provide more opportunities to reconnect with upper and under classmates with fun activities to facilitate old memories while making new ones. Please check out the All Class Reunion web page that Hans Schmitter created (’88) to see the various events including our usual Bike ride (free tickets here), the addition of a 5K Run/ Walk (free tickets here), Beach day, Golf, Professional Networking, YOGA, with the main big gathering at the Memorial Sports Center Saturday evening. Be on the lookout for EventBrite invites for the various activities- COMING SOON! Our Class main event will be held Saturday, July 26 from 5 pm to 9 pm in the Founder’s Room at the Middlebury Inn. If you have specific dietary needs please reach out to me or Kathryn Holmes (see contact information below). We will work with the Middlebury Inn to see what can be done to accommodate. Notify us of these needs no later than Friday, July 12th. Thanks to the many and generous donations sent in… as a result of the generosity, we are looking to charge only $10 per person to attend our 2024 Forever Young Gathering. If you are experiencing a financial hardship, PLEASE, reach out to me or any of the Class Officers and we will work with you privately. We want this event accessible and inclusive to as many classmates willing and able to come! We have some Tiger cubs that we have lost track of!!!
